Third film in the MAISIE series finds Sothern trying to make it as a singer in gold rush territory. Soon, she gets involved with helping some local impoverished farmers. The film starts off as a comedy but quickly turns to drama when it shows the plight of the farmers. Such a mood switch in this sort of film was an unexpected and daring twist. leave a comment
