This talkie version of GOLD DIGGERS (a silent version of the original stage play was made in 1923) tells the now-familiar story of three chorus girls meeting men in the big city and trying to get juicy parts in a big show. Welford, Pennington, and Lightner are the gold diggers, with Lightner stealing the picture. She's a delight to watch, with a wonderful voice to boot.
