Warm, moving and magical. Bing Crosby stars as Father Chuck O'Malley, an easy-going, trouble-shooting priest at St. Dominic's Church, a Catholic institution that has seen better days. The church has gotten heavily in debth, the mortage is overdue and only toeh most faithful parishoners attend servcies. Through the miracle of music, Father O'Malley is able to bring elderly Father Fitzgibbon (Barry Fitzgerald) out of the doldrums and save the parish. Read the complete review for Going My Way

I know sequels and remakes ...

Question: I know sequels and remakes don't usually get nominated for Oscars, but has anyone other than Al Pacino ever been nominated for playing the same character in different movies? He was nominated for his portrayal of Michael Corleone in both The Godfather (1972) and The Godfather: Part II (1974), which was a big exception to the sequel stigma. My friends and I were talking about it and we're all stumped.
