This British-Canadian coproduction delves into the mystery behind the presence of 80 Canadian graves in a Welsh churchyard. After WW I, some 20,000 Canadian troops ready to be shipped home are placed in transit camps in Wales, among them Cpl. Brill (Nicholas Campbell). The soldiers,
practically imprisoned by their allies as they await transport across the Atlantic and suffering under horrid conditions, grow increasingly tense, precipitating an explosion of violence that results in several deaths. The dead men and then buried nearby as the British and Canadian governments then
conspire to cover-up the incident.
