Going And Coming Back

This WW II melodrama is set during the occupation of France but is intercut in a time-shifting narrative with a modern story of reincarnation. Photographed as if pulled out of the glossy pages of the Sunday newspaper supplement, GOING AND COMING BACK tells the story of a Jewish family, headed by Piccoli and wife Fabian, who take refuge from the Nazis by escaping to a country home owned by aristocrats Trintignant and Girardot. Before long Gestapo thugs find them and send them to a concentration camp.
