Ann Sothern's series of "Maisie" films was just about out of gas in 1946. UP GOES MAISIE opens as she retires from doing war-related work and plunges into a new and exciting career in peacetime technology. Sothern soon finds herself assisting brilliant young inventor Murphy who is
developing an important new helicopter that has an automatic pilot capability. Of course, there's a rival aircraft company out to sabotage Murphy's machine, but Sothern rescues the helicopter from the villain's evil clutches and fies the machine to safety herself, allowing the inventor to reap the
rewards of his labors. Standard stuff.
