Two bored sailors on a South Seas island bide their time by sending romantic letters to various feminine pen pals, enclosing a picture of their chief officer with every letter. Eventually, the officer's fiancee finds out and thinks she's being two-timed. Meanwhile, one of the pen pals is a Soviet spy, all too eager to win the affection of an American officer.
