Go Naked In The World

One of several La Traviata-based films released in the late 1950s to early 1960s that dealt with ladies of the evening, most of which were the old story of the "hooker with a heart of gold." This time it's Lollobrigida who's the call girl. Franciosa the rebellious son of wealthy manufacturer Borgnine, is head over heels for Lollobrigida without knowing a thing about her past. After learning the truth, Franciosa goes into a rage, but he finally forgives his lady love. It's too late, though--she can't handle the emotional pressure and ends it all by leaping off a hotel balcony into the sea. The camerawork is good--intimate and personal.
