Ex-cop, ex-ballplayer Sam Kellough (John Saxon), who now makes a living as a bounty hunter, swings into action when a $20,000 reward is offered for the capture of Victor Hale (Roosevelt Grier) after he attacks a prison guard with a "riot glove"--a metal-loaded number that gives Victor a
ROLLERBALL-chic look. Victor, however, is a psychotic with a conscience, and when not pummeling assorted victims, he plays guitar for ghetto children. Although Grier's performance occasionally transcends the material, this uninspired, violent film has little else to recommend it: Joan Blondell, in
a cameo, is completely wasted, and Joanna Cassidy is little more than decoration.
