Destined to become a hit only with those who will sit through just about anything, GLITCH is a self-described "sexy comedy" with precious little sexiness or comedy. Will Egan and Steve Donmyer play zany, bumbling would-be burglars Todd and Bo, who break into the Hollywood estate of producer Julius Lazar (Dick Gautier) after he has left for Hawaii, and are surprised by a mob of (misinformed) bikinied babes turning up at the estate to audition for the producer's latest epic. After popping his eyeballs back into his head, Todd pretends to be the producer and Bo becomes a director. Together they put the full-figured gals through their paces for parts in the film, which will be "X-rated, of course." A Mexican-Japanese team of ethnic stereotypes are also intent on robbing the estate, and a mob collector (Ted Lange) shows up looking for money. Even fans of feminine pulchritude will be sorely disappointed by GLITCH. Nudity is confined to occasional quick cutaways. Egan and Donmyer--forget those names--are about as hilarious as a bad headache, which matches them well with Mastorakis' ham-handed script. Lange and Gautier trudge through the sludge with professional aplomb. Julia Nickson (of RAMBO fame) actually attempts to give a performance as one of the auditioners. There are a few funny lines and the technical values are acceptable. The film's full title is the proprietary NICO MASTORAKIS' GLITCH. As far as we're concerned, he can have it. leave a comment
