Mercier is a young girl who wins a contest that brings her from her country home to a Paris film studio. She fails her screen test but keeps on rehearsing in hopes of another try. But an unscrupulous studio employee uses the girl, and she decides to kill herself. At the last minute her finance comes to her rescue, bringing a spanking new movie contract. Mercier shows some talent in the lead, though, like her character, she could use a few more acting lessons. leave a comment
