Maude is the crusty duke who secludes himself on an all-male estate after his son runs off with a foreign dancer. He receives a letter and a picture of a young man named Pat (Haas). "Pat" is actually "Patricia" and the predictable situations and laughs occur. The duke's secretary wouldn't dare bring a woman to his boss, but Haas shows up at the estate anyway and poses as the duke's grandson. Thinking he/she's too skinny, grandpa puts Haas on a strict exercise program under the tutelage of the steward of the estate. Only after rescuing her in a swimming crisis (she went in nude) does the steward find out the secret. Of course, they fall in love. Grandpa is none too ...
