A night of fun for some sorority girls and an escaped mental patient--the killer of a sister who jilted him years before--can only add up to one thing: an hour and a half of tedious mad-slasher movie cliches. It seems that the killer did his ex-girlfriend in on the evening of a scavenger hunt. This time out he varies things a bit by stealing the school's bear mascot costume and attaching several knives to one of the paws. When the girls start dropping, the cops investigate. Like most local police forces caught in the grip of mad-slasher slayings, they are a bunch of incompetents; so Holbrook, as the original victim's father and head of campus security, goes after the killer. The ending tries for a surprise twist but scarcely succeeds. Most of the college kids are played by actors old enough to be teaching higher education. Holbrook's son began his own acting career with this picture--not an auspicious beginning. leave a comment
