A harmless little tale about a touring company of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" that finds itself in trouble when its manager leaves. Love decides to settle down with fellow actor Prouty, who offers to marry her and take care of her little sister. Hackett, the lead thespian, arranges some
performances for the inactive troupe and breaks up the Love-Prouty marriage. Love and Hackett fall for each other and, after some confusion on who will play the lead femme role on stage, Love becomes the star of the show. The first feature for Edgar Selwyn, whose name served as the "wyn" part of
Goldwyn Pictures when the firm was founded in 1916.
