Average comedy about a portly wife (Price), her pencil-thin hubbie (Finlayson, Laurel & Hardy's usual sidekick), and their daughters. One of the girls (White) wants to be in show biz and meets Delaney, a cub reporter. Using (and slightly abusing) various contacts, he gets his girl into a
show, and of course the film ends happily. This is a mostly silent film (employing such witty titles as "Brooklyn. Like an elephant's rear end. Big, but unimposing"), but there are a few musical numbers at the windup. Okay picture for its time, with plenty of laughs.
