A Girl In Every Port: Review
Groucho Marx began working solo--without his brothers--in COPACABANA (1947). In this one, he worked with new teammate William Bendix, who had just signed a lucrative new contract with RKO. Marx and the less-than-cerebral Bendix are troublemaking sailors. Bendix gets a small bequest, which he spends on a racehorse that proves to have multiple maladies. Shipmate Marx attempts to bail out his buddy by returning the horse to stable owner DeFore and redeeming the dollars it cost....
