This charming romance is set against the backdrop of a photography studio. Young photographer Gordon-Sinclair lives with his girl friend, Brook. He desperately wants to get out of the relationship but simply can't work up the nerve to tell Brook what he's feeling. Meanwhile his assistant, McKay, has love problems of his own. While developing some pictures at the studio, he is suddenly enamoured with the photograph of one young lady. The not-so-happy endings give this light comedy a bittersweet and realistic touch that makes an ironic statement about the hesitant and fanciful attitudes held by the male protagonists toward romance. The film has the look and feel of a Bill Forsyth comedy, and for good reason. Gordon-Sinclair was featured in Forsyth's comedy GREGORY'S GIRL, a similarly effervescent look at love. Director Cary Parker made his feature debut with this film, working from his own script. leave a comment
