It may have been a bad day for Gildersleeve, but it is an even worse one for the audience. Peary returns for the third time to the role that one can laugh at but not with. The dimwit becomes a jury foreman who refuses to believe that an obviously guilty gangster has done wrong--the only one in the court still unconvinced.
