A late film in the long career of John Ford that isn't at all bad; it's just not one of his masterpieces. Shot in Britain, GIDEON OF SCOTLAND YARD stars Hawkins as an overworked Scotland Yard inspector. The action takes place during one of his typically complicated, harrowing days.
