Fans of the '80s cartoon series were aghast when they read the cast list for the 2009 film adaptation of their beloved franchise, G.I. Joe. G.I. Joe Rises to the Top of the Box Office

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra took full command of the weekend box office, easily nabbing the No. 1 spot with $56.2 million.

The action figure-inspired film also reeled in $44.3 million overseas to give Joe $100.5 million in worldwide dough.
