Ghost Of The China Sea

Brian is the tough, embittered captain of a ship tagged the USS Frankenstein which is trying to escape a Japanese invasion during WW II. The problem, however, is a lack of food and supplies, most importantly, gasoline. To get what they think is a Dutch cruiser to save them, they jump ship and set it afire, hoping they'll be noticed. They are, but the ship is Japanese, which is torpedoed by a British vessel before the men can be taken captive. A typical actioner which was one of veteran director Sears's final pictures.
