GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER

This attempted comedy was left on the shelf when Savoy Pictures tanked; it should have stayed there. Dan Aykroyd plays ethics professor Jack Lambert, who becomes convinced that next-door neighbors Max Mueller (Jack Lemmon) and Inga (Lily Tomlin) are Nazi war criminals in hiding. Needless to say, he concocts a harebrained scheme to bring them to justice. Slickly produced but awkwardly played, it's a virtually laugh-free bore. leave a comment
