A real heart-tugger. Lynn Redgrave is Georgy, a chubby virgin in her early 20s with a serious lack of self-esteem. Her parents are servants employed by James Mason, a well-to-do married man with no children. Mason has always treated Redgrave like a daughter, but when he asks her to become his mistress, she finds herself in a serious dilemma. Also starring Alan Bates and Charlotte Rampling.
