Thompson plays an airplane pilot whose peaceful existence in Switzerland is suddenly interrupted when he inherits a 250-pound dog from his sister, who is embarking on her fourth marriage. Thompson's constant battle to have some peace with the presence of the large and obnoxious dog doesn't find a resolution until the dog saves his new master's life during an avalanche.
