The Gay Divorcee: Review

The first great song-and-dance comedy starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, and even though they're only dancing together for about 10 minutes, they're unforgettable. Modern gal Mimi Glossop (Rogers) wants a divorce, and goes to an English seaside resort where it's been arranged for her to be seen in flagrante delicto with a hired corresponedent. Matters become confused, however, and Mimi mistakes an American dancer (Astaire) for her man. With Eric Blore and, of course, Edward Everett Horton. Look for a young Betty Grable as a hotel guest.
