None too gay, but loopy as all get out, kidding several genres at once as it crawls along. Leo Carrillo is a music-loving Mexican bandit who patterns himself after American screen gangsters. He kidnaps Nino Martini, a singing caballero, and energetic heiress Ida Lupino, terrific as
always. Martini gets too much time to sing, but bad guy Carrillo and his partner Huber steal the show with their comic performances. Curious musical comedy was the second and last of the films produced by the team of Mary Pickford and Jesse Lasky.
