The plot--such as it is--of this totally unwatchable film concerns a small American town undergoing a fuel shortage and the ensuing complications. Susan Anspach, Sterling Hayden, and Dan Aykroyd sleepwalk through their performances; Donald Sutherland is wasted as a jive-talking disc jockey
who directs folks to gas stations. This is another of those tax-shelter bonanzas for investors wishing to take advantage of the host country's (Canada) liberal laws.
