The first in a series of three films in which Producers Releasing tried to copy the success of The Dead End Kids by developing stories about a gang of ornery youths from New York City's lower East Side. The goal of the gang in this feature is to aid a crippled veteran in making something
of his life by starting a chicken ranch. The contrived solution comes in the form of a reward for a criminal whom the youths combine their forces to pursue, thus getting the veteran back onto his feet.
