Mathews, a Korean war veteran, finds that his father, a garment company owner played by Cobb, has become involved with a union-busting syndicate. The son tries to get the father to change his mind about unions, but Cobb won't listen to him. Mathews goes to union leader Loggia and hears what he has to say about unionization.
