This small musical was director Berkeley's last film for Warner Bros. O'Brien is the owner of the "Garden of the Moon" night club and Payne is his bandleader. They're fighting for press agent Lindsay's hand. Dick Powell was originally slated for the bandleader and Bette Davis for the Lindsay role. (She preferred suspension.)
