A sweet, enagaging movie with rich characters and a fanciful premise. Bancroft, who has adored Garbo since childhood, is divorced from Hill, who couldn't tolerate her eccentricities. Their son, Silver, is married to the ultimate Jewish Princess, Fisher. When Bancroft learns that she is dying, she tells Silver that her one desire is to meet her idol. Because Garbo has lived as a recluse in New York for many years, Silver attempts to fulfill his mother's wish.
