Unexciting attempt to create a gangland thriller--set in London instead of New York or Chicago, although a Chicago figure is introduced, perhaps as a means of heightening believability. The Chicago crook and a Londoner team up to try to get a piece of the jukebox racket. This being the London of the early Beatles, the business was probably very profitable. Remake of the 1940 programmer. leave a comment
