One of the many films to come out of the postwar Italian Neo-Realism movement. Pola is a bored housewife cheating on her horse breeder husband with Brazzi, an employee of her husband. The husband's daughter by a former marriage ends up marrying Brazzi, but this doesn't stop the affair.
