1967, Movie, NR, 102 mins

Finding his work increasingly monotonous and his sex life unfulfilling, a San Francisco comic takes a break. Along the way he has a humorous encounter with a Japanese family and a model, Archer, with whom he has his first meaningful relationship. The characters are extremely likable, and Bonerz's monologs are very funny. There's some incisive social commentary and provocative musings on the serious business of being funny. Bonerz's vacation is anticlimatic, however, and quickly rambles off into a series of disconnected events. The film is poorly photographed, though there are some interesting uses of animation. leave a comment
