Following a traumatic accident in the States, Mike Windgren (Elvis Presley), a vertigo-afflicted trapeze artist, turns up at an Acapulco resort hotel working as a lifeguard and singer. There, he falls in love with Margarita Dauphine (Ursula Andress), the hotel social director.
