Loaded with silly jokes and pokes at modern life, this horror comedy ponders what it would be like to have a werewolf living in the neighborhood. After visiting Transylvania, Adam Arkin returns to the high school of the title, then pairs off with a female werewolf in the hopes of starting
a family. Producer-director-writer Larry Cohen, the creator of some skillful and thought-provoking low-budget horror films (IT'S ALIVE; IT LIVES AGAIN; Q), was hardly at the top of his game with this one. Ed McMahon appears as Arkin's father, and Arkin's real-life dad, Alan Arkin, is also in the
cast.
