A novel that laid the basis for the Wyatt Earp legend, Wyatt Earp, Frontier Marshal, here is used a second time around (the first was for a silent film), with Earp's name changed to "Michael Wyatt" to forestall any suits the novelization of Earp's life might have opened up. O'Brien rides into town as a mysterious stranger to bring law and order to a chaotic community ruled by a corrupt mayor. Routine formula stuff but engaging nevertheless. leave a comment
