From The Earth To The Moon

Boring Jules Verne adaptation sees mad scientist Cotten inventing a source of infinite energy called "Power X" after the close of the Civil War. He soon designs a missile to send beings into outer space and back that would use his fuel for power. He, along with rival scientist Sanders, crewman Dubbins, and Sanders' stowaway daughter, Paget, blast off to the moon. After countless dull adventures, the climax sees Paget and Dubbins, now lovers, returning to Earth and leaving the cranky scientists on the moon.
