Dull look at British society (made once before as BUT THE FLESH IS WEAK, 1932) sees Bruce and Cummings as father and son who try everything to catch a pair of high-society wives. Cummings first finds himself a rich but boring prospect in Anderson, but then he dumps her for his true love,
Hussey. Bruce gets lucky also and both guys marry great girls. Trite and uninvolving. This was famed musical-comedy director Sidney's debut as a feature film director (he'd been an Academy Award-winning short subjects director for the studio for some time). Nepotism sometimes pays off; Sidney was
the son of an MGM executive.
