Whatever TV tycoon Garry Marshall's faults as a director, insincerity isn't one of them. Take this warm adaptation of Terrence McNally's acclaimed two-character play: Both Michelle Pfeiffer and Al Pacino give strong, heartfelt performances as hard-luck lonelyhearts holding down grueling jobs in a New York City diner.
