Boris Karloff finally gets to play the creator instead of the created in this rather strange Frankenstein outing. As Victor von Frankenstein, grandson of the late Baron, Karloff sports horrible facial scars, disfigured by the Nazis during the war. Although he plans to re-create his grandpa's experiments, Victor needs cash to purchase an atomic reactor he needs to bring his creature to life. He therefore allows a television crew to rent his historic castle to shoot a TV show.
