The third--and probably least effective--installment in the Warner Brothers series that traced the loves of four sisters (the first two were FOUR DAUGHTERS and FOUR WIVES). Married life and financial difficulties make up the crux of this melodrama, which sees three of the sisters now happy homemakers with babies and hubbies to care for. Trouble looms when poppa Rains brags a bit too much about the success of son-in-law McHugh in the real-estate biz, and the whole town sinks its individual nest-eggs into his Florida land deal. Unfortunately, the land sinks into the swamp, leaving Rains, McHugh, and the townsfolk ruined. Of course the sons-in-law pitch in and make enough dough to pull the old man out of debt so that they can rejuvenate the town. By the climax everybody's happy, and the fourth sister even begins to get morning sickness so that she doesn't feel left behind by her sisters. leave a comment
