After finding his wife in bed with another man, gambler Marshall kills the lover and is jailed. Though he's killed a man he still has a sense of responsibility to his infant daughter, placing her in the home of a wealthy couple. After a number of years his wife, now a stripper, decides to blackmail the foster parents. Marshall hears about the scheme and manages to get himself paroled.
