This trite tale centers on an emotionless scientist who kills his mistress after learning that she has taken another lover. The filmmakers decided to add a monk character who relates the story of Moses to a group of children and then has to face the firing squad for "poisoning" children's
minds. The story he tells incorporates 20 minutes of footage from C.B. DeMille's 1927 epic, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. Like oil and water, art and politicizing never mix.
