Melanie Griffith is the titular Lulu, a free-spirited schizophrenic who tracks down her first love, television writer Ben Clifton (unconvincingly portrayed by Patrick Swayze in a pair of prescription-free glasses), in this network attempt at a poignant mental health romantic drama.
