A blood-sucking monster terrorizes the crew of a scientific research spaceship in this variation on Ridley Scott's far superior ALIEN. The picture barely avoided an "X" rating when the filmmakers cut a scene in which the monster rapes a female crew member. Excessively gory, FORBIDDEN WORLD
nonetheless has several well-directed suspense scenes, and its special effects are impressive for a low-budget effort.
