Screenwriter Gittens directed his own material in this film, and it turned out to be popular among matinee-viewing adolescents. Beery plays a boy raised by his father, Hinds, who has been accused of a murder he didn't commit and hides in the mountains in near isolation. Poor little rich
girl Robinson also lives there and Beery falls in love with her. Hinds is killed when he is bumped from his horse and dragged along the rocky terrain. Now on his own, Beery heads for civilization and locates Robinson, who is engaged to be married but loves him nonetheless. He also finds Kohler,
who committed the murder blamed on Hinds, and clears his father's name.
