A touching film about opera singer Lanza's attempts to raise money for the treatment of his deaf girl friend. He goes on a tour of various European capitals playing fund-raising concerts and earning dollars from his magnificent voice. This turned out to be Lanza's final film as he died the same year, at age 38, of a heart attack in a Rome clinic. Songs and operatic pieces include: "Ave Maria" (Giuseppe Verdi), "Oh Mon Amour," "Bavarian Drinking Song," "Vesti La Giubba" from "Pagliacci" (Ruggiero Leoncavallo), "La Donna e Mobile" from "Rigoletto," "Niun Mi Tema," "Grand March" (Verdi), "O Solo Mio" (Eduardo di Capua), "Ich Liebe Dich" (Edvard Grieg), "Come Prima" (M.
