Foolin' Around: Review

Gary Busey (BUDDY HOLLY STORY; CARNIE) and Annette O'Toole (CAT PEOPLE) struggle mightily against a trite, uneven script, and their fine performances very nearly redeem this throwback to the screwball comedies of the 1930s. Busey's Wes lays on the charm as he attempts to win the heart of rich girl Susan (O'Toole), but the romantic sparks these two excellent actors send off are persistently extinguished by inadequate supporting performances. leave a comment
