Follow The Fleet

Often regarded as one of the best of the legendary Astaire-Rogers musicals, FOLLOW THE FLEET really isn't up to TOP HAT, SWING TIME or ROBERTA, the wonder films of the series. The main reason is the bland plot, which, though similar to that of several of their other films, grinds along at a rather poky pace. Astaire and Scott play sailor buddies on leave, and Rogers and Hilliard are cast as sisters with whom they become involved.
